and the orientation begins..
there was the usual briefing on the 1st evening..
this year's theme is " LOST "
i'm OO (Orientation Officer) for group 4..
and we are the BEH-TAHANs..
omg.. what a name..
well well well.. interesting anyway..
only one guy turned up for the briefing.. oh no..
the other were all girls..
but the group actually turned out pretty well..
i grew to love them!

orientation this year wasn't going to be similar as the previous years..
for one thing.. as a safety precaution against H1N1..
all orientation activities will only begin during week 1..
and.. there will be no outdoor activities..
no cheering in IMU..
no water.. no flour.. no extreme physical activity..
i guess it really is a challenge to the committee to actually organize an orientation with all these restrictions..
but they did their best.. so.. good job u guys..
anyway.. there was the usual signature hunt..
which.. of course.. includes silly tasks.. singing, dancing, pulling hairs, acting..
basically entertaining the "seniors" and "committees" to get their very precious signature..

Senior-Junior Nite..
this was the first time we got to meet our juniors..
well.. they looked a nice lot..
the seniors had fun.. maybe it's only us who are syok-sendiri-ing..
but we really welcome all of you to our great big family of ND~
compliments to Georgen.. for the wonderful wonderful welcome video..
same goes to everyone of ND108.. who helped out in the registration, food, games..
thank you seniors.. and also juniors.. for making it a successful night..
i beg your pardon.. if there was any flaws or discomfort that night..
and it's picture time again!

i was talking to a person the other day, and the person agrees with me..
we can all feel our batch coming together..
we were all once different individuals..
all the unfamiliar faces.. unknown background..
as the semesters goes along.. we all got to know each other..
and with every incident or event we've been thru together..
we're bonded more closely to each other..
ND108 unite~! i love all of u ya..

Primary School + Secondary School Gathering..
met up with some old friends on saturday..
ZheXin, Justin, Timothy and Michelle's back in the country~
headed towards Midvalley for dinner at Italiannies~
had to squeeze and push my way against the crazy fans of Manchester United that was all heading towards Stadium Bukit Jalil.. and endure a freaking torturing ride in KTM *which reminds me, never ever agree to go to midvalley unless it's by car!*
after a pleasant dinner in Italiannies, we headed towards our next destination.. Murni's at SS2.. where more of us turned up..

i actually enjoyed the gathering..
though not many showed up..
and the fact that i'm totally exhausted..
but it really brings back all the memories..
it felt good to hang out and talk about the old times..
the silly stuff we did in primary school..
who had a crush on who..
who used to be the teachers' pet..
who sat next to whom..
omg.. can't belief we can really recall that much!
looking forward to the next gathering.. =)
but seriously, next time, perhaps less eating! wakakaka...

oh ya! spotted some really cute monsters around MidValley..
could stop myself from snapping pictures of them =P

to be continued...

it's been ages.. since i updated my blog.. i guess i've been really slacking.. my bad..
let's see what i've been up to..
1st.. i went to the 第十届中南马及东马慈青干部研习营..
it's been an inspiring experience altogether..
seriously.. how i've been wasting my time all this years..
at least now i'm aware.. i must really really practice 分秒不空过..
we only have 24 hours each.. once it's over.. it's over..
我们不能增加时间,但我们能减少浪费时间!
everybody's got the power to change the world..

and.. i've got the chance to get to know my fellow 慈青干部..
really nice people.. i mean it.. glad to know all of you.. =)
欣颖,美颖,颖慧,嘉雯,伟政,仰狮。。感恩你们哦~

then.. i started Semester 3 in Nutrition & Dietetics, International Medical University..
with a new goal and high hopes.. i stepped again into the familiar MPHs and SRs..
thank god all of us passed sem 2.. i hope we'll all be together and graduate together =)
anyway, we're all excited! we're finally going to have juniors!
how we wondered how they will be like, as far as we heard.. it was a big batch..
and seriously.. we never expected them to be double our number..
while adapting to the new timetable.. there were also all sorts of preparations for the new intake orientation..
let's discuss the timetable first..
i was obviously shocked when i first saw the timetable..
this is soooo not ND timetable..
classes start at 8am or 9am each day! *not a good sign..*
we have like practicals every afternoon.. 2-5pm.. *totally not good..*
and there was so little PS(Private Study) in our timetable..
and we have class tests and practical exams all lined up in particular weeks.. *zzz.. speechless!*

well.. nothing much we can do.. except to face it.. and adapt.. as what a "certain" person always says.. "it's all about TIME MANAGEMENT.."

back to the juniors.. there's about 97 of them.. and that's not even including those from our batch that is joining them..
at this rate.. we would have more ND students than BPharm students per intake in a few years time..
and i wonder if they'll be like us.. fun-loving.. happpy-go-lucky.. yet stil study when we need to.. =)
maybe they'll be like our batch.. talkative.. and half of us are jokers/comedians..
or maybe they're the serious kind of batch..
maybe there'll be lot's of hidden talents among them.. waiting to be discovered..
how we wonder.. but only time will tell..

and we were busy practing our dance routine for the performance..
credits to AiLing for coreographing the dance and being the world's most patient and lovable instructor.
plus.. we started planning the Senior-Junior Nite~
special thanks to all my lovely lovely batchmates in ND108..
u guys are really the world's greatest
batchmates ever..
without u guys.. there'll not be the same
me..
i wanna say.. i really appreciate u guys for all the support and company u've given me..

oh ya.. not to forget.. our ND Lab is all ready for us to use..
and it's all shiny and clean.. *even though we were kinda disappointed that some medic batch have already used it before us in one of their electives..*
we couldn't stop ourselves from taking pictures non-stop!
hahaha.. another typical ND characteristic.. extremely sensitive to cameras..
well.. here goes..
