iT's a lOneLy + qUiet + bOrinG weEkeNd...

weekends here in IMU are really getting into me..
it's truly intolerable..
it's sooooo quiet..
makes me miss home again...

went to library yesterday, stayed there from 11.00am till 8.00pm..
can't say i revised a lot, but at least i read through most of my Principles of Human Nutrition, and i actually grasped most of the concepts now~ *jumping for joy*
didn't really achieve my target though, i was planning to go through my Organic Chemistry notes too, but i guess i got side tracked now and then, and didn't get to look through the Organic Chemistry notes.. will go to them right after this..

the little cafe in the library served it's purpose,
providing us with coffee and pastries~~
and emptying our wallets... *sad*
the scent of roasted coffee beans and delicious pastries drew the students(ok.. us..) to them...
hehehe.. who can resist a freshly brewed cup of cappucino after reading through tons of facts, and being confused by all these concepts that we have to understand?
okay.. i may be exaggerating a bit... well, let's just say everyone needs a break now and then.. ;)

many thanks to WenYi, Alice, Hazel, YahLee & JiaRu, for keeping me company..
studying together is really much better.. than having to endure the loneliness of studying alone..
at least when my minds starts wandering away from the notes in front of me, i look up, see everyone else focusing on their notes, i focus on my notes once again~~

went to OUG for dinner after a long day's revising and gossiping in between..
wakakaka... it was satisfactory, the at the sight of the hawker stalls by the roadside, we knew at once, this is it! our dinner!
there was everything.. okay.. maybe not everything..
but, it's the typical chinese hawker centre..
omg.. how i missed all these chinese food!!!

we ordered quite a lot of food, to be honest, and shared among the 6 of us..
let's see, we have: tomyam, satay, popiah, fried kuay teow, 蚝煎, ice kacang~~
wakakaka.. what would our prof say if she sees us eating all these non-nutritional stuff..
what we ordered was definitely against RNI and Dietary Guidelines...
well, we have to reward ourselves for "studying hard" for a whole day right?
so, i guess all these RNI and guidelines momentarily "slipped" from our minds~~
ssshhhhh... don't tell our profs....

hmm.. it's another boring sunday, and i'm home alone..
how i miss having my housemates around..
the house feels quiet and empty without u guys..
i guess i'll just get back to my Organic Chemistry notes...


a sandwich.. a nutritional snack but yet.. quite costly for us...

a nice cup of cappucino.. is what u need after a few hours of reading~

went for lunch in OUG after practicals today..
everyone seems to be in a great mood, maybe it's because titrations today went quite smoothly~~ yippee~~ finished early and got to leave the lab early..
about 20 of us, in 4 cars, went happily + noisily to this place called -- WONG KOK Char Chan Teng, in OUG..
hehehe.. we kinda took over the place, i mean, the place was filled with our noisy chattering and laughter in no time~
felt sorry for the attendants, they had to like move everything around now and then, because we actually took quite some time, deciding how we wanted to be seated and changing our minds a few times..
the food there was okay.. it's a Hong Kong style place, and there're a lot of interesting food on the menu..
a bit lazy to describe what else we did there.. which is mainly just chatting(loudly), eating(a lot!), laughing(without control)...
so.. i guess i'll let the pictures tell the story~~

it's back to the usual routine again..
lectures.. discussions.. lectures.. practicals.. lectures.. assignments..
i really need to get back into STUDY-mode..
feel like i've been playing around too much..
must start revising!
must stop dozing off in lectures!
must restrain myself from day-dreaming!
must resist all the temptations around me!
must focus!!!!!

yeah.. right... that doesn't really sound interesting at all..
i might as well hang up a banner that says "i have no life!"..
or walk around with a sign that says "i'm boring!"
hmm.. i wonder if there's any way to find a balance between work and play?
i mean.. is it possible to play around.. but at the same time, not neglecting your academics??

meanwhile.. i guess i'll stick to the original plan -- time to switch on to STUDY-mode..




well.. i supposed a little camwhoring won't hurt right?? i promise i'll go read my notes right after this....

yipee~~ after 3 weeks in IMU...
after 3 1/2 hours on the bus...
i'm home~~~~~~~~~~~

3 weeks... truly glad to be home right now..
where i can wake up in my own bed..
reach for my baby--my guitar when i feel like it..
take a drive in my Kancil around the town when i'm bored...
oh ya.. the most important thing is.. i get to spend time with my lovely lovely family...

i was just in time to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics Games, Beijing 2008..
it was really an impressive + grand + significant ceremony..
omg.. the performances.. the design.. the whole ceremony..
i was truly speechless..
too bad we can only watch the "siaran langsung" from the TV..
wow.. imagine being in the stadium and witnessing the real ceremony...
hahahahaha... another one of my day dreams..
what really caught my eye was the last part of it..
when the final torch was being lighted..
it was really creative.. and really meaningful..
that guy, he ran in mid air(of course, with supporting cables and stuff), all around the stadium..
with every step he took, images of the torch's journey was being displayed...
the moment when the torch was lighted was truly breathtaking..
oh... how i wished i was in Beijing, at the stadium, witnessing all these with my very own eyes...

anyway, had breakfast with my whole family this morning..
something i have been missing a lot...
hadn't been able to do so since like.. ever since my brother went to Matrikulasi..
it was really lucky that we were be able to be home at the same time..
went for dim sum.. hahaha.. we actually spent more time laughing + joking than enjoying the food.. ;P

hmmm... i wonder if i'd be able to make myself leave home again on monday..
sometimes i really feel like never leaving home again..
but i guess i'd have to...
leaving home again would be hard for me..
but i'll deal with it..
and make myself tougher..
i'll always be my daddy's little girl..

went to watch the finals of the Chinese Singing Competition..
our batch mate -- Georgen Thye.. he was one of the finalist~~!
so, of course we had to go support him..
haven't heard him singing before this..
he was the last to perform during the prelims, and we didn't actually stick around till that late.. so i guess we kinda missed his performance..

we heard people commenting that he sang really good..
he sang 第三者 during the prelims..
so we were anticipating it..
and they weren't kidding...
Georgen sang really REALLY good!!!
hahaha.. i'm biased on this.. he sang my favourite female singer -- Fish Leong's song!!
he sang 接受..
wow.. the audience was like all mesmerized by his voice..
we cheered like mad for him~~
hahaha.. Georgen, u wanna form your own fan club now??

okokok.. the group performances was ok..
the "Cockroaches" was positively hilarious...
i guess they were more to giving everyone a good laugh than to winning..
but.. i salute u guys man~~ great.. truly great... and memorable!
u guys totally did it~!

anyway, Georgen won!!!!!!!
so happy for him..
