we had our Food Culture Day on 22 April 2009..
and it was kinda like an event to create awareness of the difference in flavor principles, cooking styles and food culture of different countries in the world..
slept like only 2-3 hours the night before..
preparing the food and stuff...
last minute work on PBL..
and also preparing for Financial Accounting Seminar..
yeah.. that is completely insane..
the day started at 9.15am.. with our last PBL session.. luckily it went well..
then we rushed of to the atrium.. where we have already arranged the booths the day before.. and started decorating the booths..
it was bizarre.. everyone was so hectic..
some vigorously pasting the pieces of decoration on the display boards..
some pacing here and there waiting for their food to arrive..
and belief me.. there is a serious shortage of time..
NOTE:: must let AAD know.. for the next batch, have to allocate the session before food culture day empty.. for preparation
well, as we were busy arranging our stuff and decorating our booth.. a guy came and started asking.. "excuse me.. may i know who is the girl in charge of this event?"
blurred.. i was like.. "yeah.. it's me.. anything??"
it turns out that we were not the only ones who booked the atrium..
the IMU table tennis club booked the atrium for their welcoming party too..
huh??? how in the world did this happen??
i guess IMU made a mistake or something.. but nothing could be done..
since the guy was quite polite and everything.. i guess it'd be okay to share the atrium..
and it went well.. i guess.. except for the few times that the ping pong balls narrowly missed us.. as in nearly fell into our food or hit us..
anyway.. quite enjoyed myself..
thumbs up to everyone.. i've always thought that the ND-ians were a very talented and capable batch.. *okay.. okay... it's just my opinion.. don't start smirking..*
it was fun.. getting together and organizing an event like this..
i'd say it was quite a success..
Mexico, Vietnam, China, Italy, Africa, Korea, Spain, Thailand, Greece and Japan..
we all did well... give yourselves a pat on the back... *prof peter's style*
