last day of the semester..
had our very last class test on Principles of Human Nutrition..
and we've officially finished Semester 1 of Nutrtition and Dietetics..
well.. having mixed feelings now..
i really love this course..
and really really hope i can come back successfully next semester..
and it all depends on how i did in my End-Of-Semester Examinations..

anyway.. went to celebrate the end of semester 1 with my friends..
all my worries and stress temporarily forgotten..
after the class test.. most of the N&D students decided to celebrate by going for K-sessions..
whether it's due to chance or whether we all share the same interests..
we'll have to run some tests to confirm..(let's see.. Independent T-test.. Paired T-test.. Anova Test....) wakakakaka.. i hope u guys get the joke.. =___=
okaay.. back to the story..
some went to Neway, Subang..
while we went to RedBox, LowYat..

before that, WenYi and i went to our usual drum lessons...
have i mentioned here before? i'm going attending drum lessons..
will have to get myself a pair of drumsticks soon...
after the drum lesson.. we met up with KarFoo and headed towards our destination--RedBox, to join the others..

there, we split into 2 groups..
group 1: HongHui, ShiauSiang, YingLu, JiaRu, KarFoo, Sharon..
and group 2: mii, WenYi, Alice, YahLee, XinYing, WeiJie, KaiJia..
group 1 was there to celebrate YingLu's bday.. Happy Birthday Memories, my dear..
and we, of course.. sang all the way through~~
won't elaborate on our crazy-ness during the K-session..
don't really wanna destroy my image and exposed that side of me so soon..
hahahahaha... anyway.. had a really nice time..
and i guess, it's time to start preparing for EOS..

it was the last General Chemistry practical of the semester..
i'll miss the "memories" we had in PBL4..
let me introduce my honorary bench-mates:
ShiauSiang, Hong Hui, Soo Wei...
and of course, my lovely lovely lab partner -- JiaHuan..

i can still remember all the times we've had in PBL4...
how me and JiaHuan will always be the last pair to finish the experiment.. *grins*
how we used to take pictures while the assistants weren't looking..
and the times the little cute assistant said "no chinese please.."
and how we "referred" other people's reports...

well.. who knows when we'll wear our lab coats again..
next sem, we're supposed to wear aprons~
looking forward to it.. i hope it's a nice design..
for goodness sake.. please don't let it be the kind with frilly laces or sashes..
i'd never put it on..
it'd look weird on the guys anyway..
ookay.. back to the topic..
i just wanna say i'm happy to have met u gals..
to have gals as my bench-mates..

General Chemistry Poster Presentation

woke up with my stomach filled with fluttering butterflies..
yup.. today's our general chemistry poster presentation!!
and... i have no idea what will we be asked..

anyway, went to school at 9.00am..
headed straight to the 4th floor..
and squeezed past a dozen of busy + chattering students..
and finally got to my group's poster..
the others were already there..
sorry guys.. i didn't mean to be late..

the whole placed was packed with students..
there must have been at least 400+ students there..
and the poster boards were all still scattered in a corner..
it actually felt like being in a small maze.. zzz...
well, thank goodness Dr. Kang came and started organizing the boards..
but then, the boards were still a little bit to close to each other..
so, it kinda feel like we're sardines in between the poster boards..
and with the number of people present there, it became suffocating in a while..

anyway, the 1st lecturer turned up..
and it was Dr. Er Hui Meng..
i guess she was quite impressed with our poster.. *yipee~*
and she even gave us a smile~
*someone caught a glimpse of the mark sheet, and we got full marks~~~~*

then there was a long long long wait for the next lecturer to come..
had squeeze out into the open for some fresh air now and then...
well, the second lecturer to evaluate us was Mr. Kenny Chan..
he made us explain the whole poster..
and i nearly went blank when he asked me why the melting point of Arsenic is so high..
ooo.. did i mentioned it earlier? our group was group VA..
anyway, he did left with a nice comment: "very creative!"

now for the 3rd lecturer...
for heaven's sake...
no one knew who was the 3rd lecturer..
and we were all waiting blinding..
Ms. Shubbara came.. but only to have a look.. zzz..
so it's not her..
and just when we were wondering whether it is Dr. Ooi or Dr. Kang..
an Indian lecturer that i've never seen before showed up...
about time too.. we were getting impatient there..
well, he took a long time at other groups..
and we had to wait again...

finally he arrived at our poster board..
and i started explaining..
"our poster is divided into few parts: general features.. physical properties.. chemical properties.. these are............ and for each element we have.........blablablabla...."
then he asked: "do you know any compund of bismuth that has any biological significance?"
panicking... but i came back to my senses and flipped the bismuth card over..
"here, sir.. Bismuth Subsalicylate, it is a treatment for gastric disorders such as colitis, diarrhea, and peptic ulcers.."
and he said: "good.. that's all.."
that's all???? guess he was also hungry like us and was trying to make things easy~~

well, that's all.. i can't belief it took 3 hours...
hmm.. but at least it's another mission accomplished~~

can't belief it.. i have only another 2 weeks and i'm finishing Sem 1..
i guess time really flies~~ ;)

had Statistics class test on thursday..
fingers crossed.. i hope i did well..
definitely dreading next week..
it's gonna be hell for me..

there's just so many people having birthdays in this month...

as N&D students.. how can we resist a chance to gather anf have fun together...
so.. 17.10.2008..
a group of N&D students started planning..
everyone was told that it's gonna be a surprise birthday celebration for Jessie..
but it's actually going to be for all those celebrating their birthdays this month..
anyway.. here's what happened..

we have.. our masterminds.. CheeCheng and gang..
the lead actress.. JiaRu..
the bait.. Jessie's housemate + SiowJie..

and the co-actors.. everyone else..

so it started with the cake..
secretly removed from it's box..
placed in it's place was some file folders + lecture notes..
so we went into the cafeteria singing "happy birthday"..
where Jessie was sitting..
her housemates trying all their best to keep her from leaving the cafeteria.. *thanks ya*
just as Jessie was about to take the cake from JiaRu..
the cake dropped!!! onto the floor.. *this was done on purpose of course..*
gasps + whispers broke out.. *hahaha.. we purposely didn't let everyone know to create that effect..*

and as our victim--Jessie was opening the cake box..
to see the supposedly destroyed cake..
the real cake came in.. in perfect condition...
in AiLing's hands..
