i've been lazy..
yes.. LAZY..
it's been ages since i've actually updated my blog..
okay, i admit, mostly it's because i've been occupying myself with all kinds of stuff..
updates updates!!
few days after or Langkawi + Penang trip..
i returned to Vista Komanwel..
why?? to get my EOS results..
and... to attend the committee meeting for the "Gift of Sight" and Health Screening Project..
and i passed!!
my results was not as good as i wished it was..
but i guess, at this point, a pass is all i can expect..
not exactly the flying colours as i would have wanted..
perhaps i should just let it go, as someone advised me..
*u know who u are =) *it's not that my family's expectations of me that's pressuring me..
in fact it's me that's been holding on to it..
some people can live with just a pass..
but i guess i'm not that person..
some may say, i think too much of myself..
"aren't you expecting too much?" they would ask..
well, i just hope one day i'll prove them wrong.
back to the story, the Kg Orang Asli Serendah Project went well~
as Volunteer Officer, i was truly greatful for Muna's help while i was away in Langkawi..
and to those who volunteered, it was a great pleasure to meet all of you..
thank you all for volunteering =)
and of course, special thanks to those from ND108, who came back to help in the Nutrition Screening booth..
JiaHuan, ChuJin, HorngNgiap, KwongJiin, Erica, MinYing, YeeLeng, JiaRu, LiXian..
it's sem break and it was really great that you guys came to help..
it was again a whole new experience for me..
we checked the height, weight and BMI of the vilagers..
and gave some basic nutrition counseling..
and we put up some nutrition posters that we made during our Principles of Human Nutrition project..
as Pn Normah said, it is really an opportunity for us, for we have to converse everything in Malay..
which was not what we were trained..
it brought laughs amongst us as we struggled to find the right words to describe what we wanted to say..
hmm.. how do you say obese in malay? what about overweight?
terlalu gemuk?? definitely not! hahaha..
eventually, we got used to it and everything went smoothly..
and then there was the Nutrition Communication Workshop..
JiaHuan and i volunteered to help out with the registration and stuff..
and it was great! hmm.. notice that i've been using this adjective a lot nowadays to describe my life?
and i hope it stays so~
there's just too much information about it..
let's just put it this way, f u missed it..
then u've really missed out on some really great speakers and experience..
hmm... next up was the KPI meeting for the lecturers of the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences..
i don't really know why me and BeiNing(ND109's batch rep) was supposed to be there for..
but i learned something..
Prof Peter is a truly good speaker.. *winks*
and we actually got a glimpse of another side of our lecturers..
now i won't be selfish and keep it all to myself wouldn't i..
so.. here's some pictures i took of our beloved lecturers..
Pn Normah's group..
Dr Tony's group..
Prof Fatimah's group..
Ms ChingLi's group..
nice smile.. Prof Mak..
Dr Winnie and Ms Goo's group..
Dr Kang and Ms Tracy's group..
any idea what our beloved lecturers are up to??
there were giggles.. laughs..
whispers.. shouts..
there was running around looking for scissors, tape, or glue..
so what are they up to exactly?
they are actually building something out of their discarded items..
some made a decorative item..
some made some kind of musical instrument..
some built a tower..
and some even designed a car..
who knew our lecturers were this creative?
and we definitely enjoyed ushering them and telling the lecturers what we have always heard them tell us..
"15 more mins.."
"5 more mins."
"time's up! make sure that your name and IDs are on each and every page of your answers sheets.."
note:: they didn't have to write their names and IDs.. and they don't really have to hand in any answer sheets.. we just got carried away and added that.. XD
