my H A P P Y 22nd~~

well, it all started on 6th Jan 2010..
a bunch of my favourite people suggested that we go get something to eat after lectures...
and these really cute people even waited for an hour for me, while i had an elective--Novelty Nutrition lecture on..

and they decided that we go to OUG for sushi~~
so Alice, WenYi, HorngNgiap, Georgen, Jaron, Fanny, AiLing, ChuJin, JiaHuan and WenWei.. plus me of course, arrived at this quaint little sushi bar..

and everything was normal, we started ordering sushi and of course food to eat...

and just when i thought we were leaving...
taadaa~~ this appeared out of no where!!!

they planned a birthday surprise for me!!!!!!!
and they cleverly organized it the day before my birthday so i wouldn't suspect anything?
omg~~ never would i have thought!
words cannot describe how i felt at that very moment..
anyway.. i luv u guys for doing this for me ya..

hmm.. did i mentioned that i straighthened my hair?

oops.. back to the topic...
my 22nd Birthday started with a phone call from my dear brother..
followed by endless smses and fb wallposts wishing me happy birthday..
and my day in uni started off with my dear batchmates wishing me happy birthday in class..
then everything was back to normal..
lecture after lecture..

after my last lecture, went upstairs to 4th floor for the Buddhist Society committee meeting..
with my dear housemate--KaiJia, reminding me to be home in time for the "dinner" she was planning to cook for me..
got delayed a bit in the meeting...
till i simply had to leave.. sorry guys, i had an appointment to attend to.. paiseh ya..
well, there i was, finally home..
and KaiJia told me that dinner was with SimLing.. coz she asked SimLing to join us..
so i waited.. and waited..
very hungry.. wait.. i should say starved..
well.. i got online and started listening to music and chatting with my friends online..
and dinner was still no where in sight...
with my stomach rumbling.. i was grumbling *hey~ this rhymes!!*

finally KaiJia knocked on the door..
and i was like "wait.. i've got to turn off my msn.."
when i opened the door.. it was pitched black!!
and about twenty voices started singing Happy Birthday..
oh my god!!!!!!!
a second birthday surprise??? how lucky can i get to have such lovely friends..
and we celebrated the belated birthday of our dear ms Ganas--SzeMien too..

oops.. almost forgot to upload this last post about the FSI Education Fair..
as Student Ambassador, i went along with our Marketing Dept staff, the very cute SuYin..
and our designated driver--Nawim..
on this trip to northern penisular Malaysia..
1st stop... Penang!!!!
and guess where we stayed..
the formerly known as Shangri-La hotel --- Traders Hotel...

i am not joking.. it's RM44/pax for a buffet breakfast there.. luckily, i'm not the one who is paying.. hahahahaha...

well.. the next stop was Bukit Mertajam..
and we stay at the Summit Hotel..

so.. what exactly was i doing there?
basically i was there to share my experience as a student in IMU..
learned quite a lot about the different courses in IMU..
Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Biotechnology, Nutrition & Dietetics, Chiropractic, and the soon available Traditional Chiniese Medicine..

talked to many prospective students..
many were still a long way from finishing pre-U.. mostly SPM leavers..
makes me realize, they kinda looked like me..
well, i was the first child of the family, and my parents and i had absolutely no idea at all..
diploma? matrikulasi? form6? a-levels? SAM? everything seems so overwelming then..
then there was the whole confusion of what i wanted to study..
but i was really lucky then.. i never regretted doing form6..
that was when i was sure for the first time, i wanted to do Nutrtition or Dietetics..
and i'm really greatful that i have the most understanding and supportive parents..
who was willing to let me study this course that they have never heard about, and not even sure what that is..
i can remember clearly, daddy asking me: "this dietetics that u wanted to study arr, what is it? u sure can get job later?"
i'm sure it wasn't easy for them to send their precious daughter away from home, to this university that is in Bukit Jalil..
but regardless of all the uncertainty and anxiety, they were still so supportive of my ambition and dream to become a dietitian..
therefore, i will never hesitate to say this, all that i have now, and all that i have achieved and everything that i'm made of..
daddy and mummy, it all came from you both..

ps. just came back from this really bizarre 2010 new year countdown with my family in mcD Manjung.. i hope that's how we can spend the new year eves to come XD
