okay.. this was waaayyyy back during end of february..
and i wasn't in the mood/hadn't the energy to upload all these photos..
anyway, i went to Klang with a couple of friends :: WenYi, JyeDin, Daniel and HorngNgiap..
what was i doing in klang?? actually we went there under the request/invitation from JyeDin..
to attend a choir concert by his eldest sis' choir..
so that morning... i got up at 8++am..
gathered my books and notes, and went to IMU to do my usual Saturday-Revision-at-Library..
we have the 3rd class test on Food Culture & Nutrition coming.. and i don't really wanna be caught unprepared for it...
belief me.. it's really torture.. trying to remember which spices came from which part of the world..
and where each specific food originated from..
but then.. apart from having to memorize all these facts, it's actually quite interesting to find out about the different food habits and culture of other continents and countries...
i wonder how i could make it more interesting?
well, headed back home at 12.30pm..
JyeDin had warned me not to be late, coz we're leaving Vista Komanwel at 1.30pm..
to be able to reach klang in time to try klang's famous bak kut teh~!
typical N&D students right? whenever and wherever, we just have to eat!
at 2.45pm, we were seated at a bak kut teh restaurant, highly recommended by JyeDin -- Teluk Pulai Bak Kut Teh..
amazed by the number of bak kut teh shops available there! i mean, it's like it's the town's symbol or something..
imagine, at average... each row of shop lot has an average of 3-4 bak kut teh outlets out of 10!
seriously, u would think that the staple food of this town is bak kut teh!
and THUMBS UP! it really tastes great..
kinda reminds me of Kit Cai Bak Kut Teh that we have back at my home town..
the bak kut teh served here was special / different from what i used to eat..
it's served with Oil Rice *rice cooked with chicken stock, garlic, oyster sauce....*
the soup base was quite rich.. u can really get the taste of the tea and herbs in ur mouth..
but what amazes me, is the flow of customers.. it was like already 3pm.. and the crowd never seems to lessen..
okay.. photo-time! indulge yourselves..
and of course.. how can i not post the pictures of these lovely people who went with me?? so here it is..
and after the nice bak kut teh meal, we stopped by a local florist..
to order some bouquets of flowers that JyeDin's sis needed..
and omg!! it was sooo expensive... rm40 for a bouquet?? and it's only 3 lilies per bunch!
hahaha.. seriously considering whether i should be a florist instead of a dietitian... okay~ i'm just joking..
well then, we headed towards the new Bukit Tinggi JUSCO..
and it was huge!!!
bought a pair of nice shoes there.. =)
ran into a group of students from UiTM there..
they were doing some kinda project there..
caught a glimpse of some nutrition posters over there..
so we decided to go have a look..
shockingly... we found them educating people on Blood-Type-Diets..
which is a typical FOOD FAD!!
and.. they're not even nutrition/dietetic students..
just a bunch of unqualified PHARMACY students.. giving the wrong misleading information to the public... zzzz...
really concerned about this issue.. what if someone really follows the diet??
they would be in risk of being deficient in a specific food group.. which will lead to some serious consequences..
anyway, nothing much i can do at the moment.. maybe someday~~~~
random shot..
lanscape of Bukit Tinggi... from the JUSCO parking lot..
and we headed back to the florist.. to get the bouquets..
they turned out quite nice.. despite the ever so expensive price for it..
and we headed to PeiHwa High School, where the concert was held..
met up with JyeDin's eldest sis.. who was supposed to be 7 years older than him, but looked 2 years younger than him!
and we waited for the concert to start..
this post has been going on for quite long.. so i really shouldn't go on writing about the boring details.. so i guess i'll just post some photos to do the talking...
