Hope you dont mind me messaging you, but i across your blog as i was trying to find information about studying Nutrition and Dietetics in IMU. I'm interested in the course and might be studying it this coming intake in July but I'm trying to find more information about the course and life at IMU and life at Bukit Jalil from the students. And you might be able to help me...
Is N&D at IMU a good fun course even though its pretty new at IMU?
IMU people are nice and sociable?
Is Bukit Jalil really in the middle of no where and not that fun?
I've been reading your blog and it seems like you're having fun except for the amount of work you have to do sometimes.

it's okay.. i don't mind.. ;)
for me, i love this course.. because i wanted to be a dietitian..
there's a difference between a nutritionist and a dietitian, and i'm more interested towards the dietetics field..
whether it's good or fun, it is up to you to decide..
if u're really interested, i doubt that u'll ever find it boring..
but i have to tell u, besides IMU, there's also other universities offering similar courses, eg. UCSI, they have a course on Food Science and Nutrition, but it's more towards food sciences, lot's of lab work and stuff..
so, u have to decide, whether u want to be a food scientist? or dietitian? or nutritionist? there're also other fields that graduates in this course can be involve in too..
IMU people.. there're all kinds of students here, so it's kinda hard to comment whether they are nice or not.. but as far as i'm concerned, the people in my batch are really nice friendly people.. and i love all my coursemates..
Bukit Jalil.. as u probably know, it's all stadiums and parks and golf courses... but then, if u wanna go out, the LRT station is just nearby(walking distance), if u wanted to buy stuff, there's always Carrefour or The Store in Sri Petaling.. there's always cabs waiting to bring us there... hmm..i wonder whether if u are planning to stay in Vista Komanwel?
anyway, there'll be an IMU Open Day this Sunday, u'll probably find it quite useful to find out more about IMU, and N&D.. there'll be a booth for Nutrition and Dietetics as well.. u'll be able to meet some lecturers, and also a few of us from the current batch.. ND108...
feel free to ask more questions.. i'll try to answer them.. =)

Yeah, Im planning to stay on the school hostel the first since im not familiar with the place..hope its good. Are you staying there as well or do you live live in KL?

and i agree with u.. it is very stressful.. especially when the assignments and class tests clash.. and definitely during EOS season..

yes, we do meet other courses students, for the 1st sem, u'll be studying with the other health sciences students for General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Human Physiology, Statistics...
and there's quite a lot of clubs and societies that u can join too..
yes, i'm staying in vista komanwel now, but not with the IMU hostel..
to yinny, i will suggest that better not stay in IMU hostel..
for ur info, the rent is double the market price(you are actually staying at Vista Komanwel as well) and if u choose to share room, the room might be a bit small.. hmm, i will suggest u come over and hav a look here and maybe u will find some advertisement on renting room...
just some advice..
i stayed in hostel 1st sem too..cause i know nothing ab the hostel and IMU...after knowing it, quite regret..HEhe...(Refer to hostel)

i would not stay with the IMU Hostel and find one outside, but is hard for me to find one as im not in the country until the course start, i guess i will just stay at the hostel for 1 sem and once i get there and know the place more, i'll move out...
